Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting at flyweight in the UFC. She is also the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai kickboxer, began her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011, and the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003, and she was the winner of her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win in the second round by TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass an overall record of 3-1. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing after which she took a lengthy break in MMA. She was back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina utilized her striking abilities and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Antonina Shevchenko was given a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina was offered the UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat, and won Lucie Prudilova at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night for that bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
