Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and culture, and the surrounding environment. Burrell, who grew up in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful opportunity for me. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. After graduating Chef Burrell lived in Italy for one year taking classes at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) in Tuscany. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy and this has affected her style of cooking. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. She is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and travels across the nation to mentor others in her task. Anne has stated during her career in the kitchen she's grateful to share with others what is truly important for her.
